Gleneagles Wedding

A little while back I had the pleasure of assisting Nina and Russell with their wedding plans. They were married by the lovely Rev William Ross at Muthill Church, a short drive from the reception venue Gleneagles.

The couple hosted a relaxed buffet on the Friday evening, following the guests private check-in, where they received a quaich from Nina and Russell to thank the guests for travelling from all over the world for their wedding. Jennifer, the wedding co-ordinator at Gleneagles is fantastic to work with and helped us to create a wonderful couple of days of celebrations.

Muthill Church is beautiful building with an anteroom which was used for a nursery, so we decided to build a room within the anteroom and lay some new carpets.

Nina looked stunning as she arrived at Muthill Church to a full pipe band. Gleneagles florist John, had created the stunning displayed throughout the church including attaching hundreds of roses to the draped linen walls.

Whilst Nina and Russell had some lovely photos taken by Alan and Jackie Rankine, guests were treated to the grand piano talents of Jason Faichney (pianist and singer) and canapés in the Glendevon room.

The ballroom was transformed with uplighters and pin spots which illuminated the stunning table displays. The vases also contained LED lights which added to the twinkle effect in the Ballroom.

As we had the dance floor in place and the large oval top table next to it – the happy couple could take to the floor straight after dinner to cut their stunning cake by 3D Cakes . The cake was then whisked off the dance floor and the first dance commenced with the most magical glitterfall (gasps and tears were plentiful throughout the ballroom) and the star projection provided a lovely sparkle all over the ballroom. The Photo booth was then opened on the balcony all the way from London from the amazing Boothnation.

The buffet later on, was served on afternoon tea stands straight to guests tables for comfort.

I have to say, this was a very special day for 2 very special people and their lovely family and friends. A joy to be a part of such a loving and happy occasion.

A note from the lovely couple:

“Joann was a fantastic support in the run up to my wedding, helping to pull everything together.  Her enthusiasm and energy was incredible and she was fantastic to work with – an absolute professional. Many of our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have been to and personally, I could not have imagined a more magical day.

I felt confident to leave all of the details in Joann’s hands and just enjoy the day which ran so smoothly. I was extremely thankful for her attention to detail and she was amazing at appearing out of nowhere to take presents out of my hands or get me a drink! She also worked very well with our wedding coordinator at Gleneagles, which was important.

I could go on and on with praise and comment but I will finish by saying that I would absolutely recommend Joann to anyone who is getting married!”

Nina and Russell now have 2 beautiful little boys, so they are truly living happily ever after.

Thank you to Alan and Jackie Rankine for the beautiful photographs.
